What solutions are available in my district if I want to replace the heating? This question is on the minds of many homeowners in district 7 of the city of Zurich. While the districts near district heating centers in particular are to be connected to the municipal network, this does not apply to the Hirslanden, Hottingen and Witikon districts.
Practice instead of theory
Replacing a heating system is a major purchase for many private owners. This applies to both single-family homes and apartment buildings. In addition to all the political discussions, a replacement is also a very real problem: it involves financing, a stable energy supply and the question of dependencies.
At the suggestion of the district, we answered these questions relating to the topic of “heating replacement” in the “Energy in the District” pilot project for homeowners and administrations from the districts in Hirslanden, Hottingen and Witikon. More than 60 people attended two evenings to find out information from experts and network for further exchange.
Great success: A neighborhood is now planning the heating replacement together for more than 70 residential units.
Heating replacement in the district: framework conditions and experiences
Owners, architects and property administrations had very specific questions on the subject of “heating replacement”. These were included for the information evenings, as were the strategic goals of the city of Zurich and the various framework conditions and funding opportunities. But also the experiences from practice and from the neighborhood were discussed at the events.
Great commitment from all those involved
